Parents and guardians in the Blackpool area are urged to remain vigilant after David Gallimore, a convicted sex offender, has been seen in the town centre near the Tower and Primark. He was previously staying at a hotel on Station Road, which allegedly had children among its guests. Upon discovery of his identity, the hotel owner is said to have removed him from the premises.

Gallimore, 54, originally from Stoke-on-Trent, was convicted at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for multiple child sexual offences. He was found guilty of:
– Sexually abusing a schoolgirl after manipulating her vulnerable mother to gain access
– Possessing hundreds of indecent images of children, including:
– 16 Category A images (the most severe)
– 31 Category B images
– 439 Category C images
– 1 extreme pornographic image
Despite the child’s pleas for him to stop, Gallimore continued the abuse and instructed her not to tell anyone. The victim later came forward after his arrest for the indecent images. The court heard that she has since undergone counselling due to the trauma.
Gallimore was sentenced to 32 months in prison for six counts of assault and three counts of possession of indecent images.
If you believe you’ve seen David Gallimore in Blackpool, do not approach him. Keeping children safe is a shared responsibility, and public awareness is key.
