Grimsby, UK — A 66-year-old man was arrested this evening in Grimsby after allegedly attempting to groom children online. The arrest was carried out by members of UK Database, a paedophile hunting group known for confronting suspected online predators and sharing footage of their operations.
The man, identified as John Dolan, was reportedly caught during a sting operation that involved decoy profiles. Dolan believed he was speaking with two underage girls—aged 13 and 14—and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with both.
Screenshots and chat logs presented by UK Database suggest Dolan expressed a desire to meet one of the girls at a hotel, where he intended to “do stuff” with her. He also allegedly instructed her to delete the messages he had sent, in an apparent attempt to conceal his actions.
The confrontation took place in Grimsby, where Dolan was approached by members of the group and presented with evidence. Humberside Police arrived shortly after and took him into custody. He is expected to face questioning regarding allegations of online grooming.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement, and the investigation remains ongoing.
