A man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of a series of sexual offences against two boys under the age of 16.
The sentencing hearing took place at Swansea Crown Court, where the court heard details of offences committed against children under 13 and boys aged between 13 and 15.
The defendant was found guilty under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 of two counts of assaulting a boy under the age of 13 by touching, and three counts of causing or inciting a boy aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity where there was no penetration.
In addition to the eight-year custodial sentence, the court imposed strict safeguarding measures. The offender will be subject to indefinite notification requirements, meaning he must register with the police for the rest of his life. He was also made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, placing significant restrictions on his activities to protect children and the wider community.
